Certified and licensed specialists at Gardens Acupuncture and Wellness Center work closely with primary care and other referring physicians to best meet your health needs. Patients are referred to us for many reasons including chronic pain and disease management. Specific diagnoses we treat include: allergies, asthma, fertility and pregnancy issues, problems related to cancer and cancer treatment side effects, arthritis, skin disorders, stomach and bowel problems, bladder problems, headache, orthopedic and sports issues, pain management and much more.
Patients may see one specialist directly, or benefit from a team approach of treatment. Each patient is evaluated and treated as a whole - body, mind and spirit. Our primary goal is to find the best healing intervention for each individual patient. Katherine
Lee Borse, A.P.
Acupuncture Physician– Doctor of Oriental
Medicine
Katherine Lee Borse is a nationally board-certified and
Florida licensed Acupuncture Physician. She holds a Masters
of Science in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelors of Health
Science from the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine.
Aside from treating common concerns such as pain, insomnia,
anxiety, depression and fatigue with acupuncture, Katherine
specializes in combining the wisdom of Chinese Medicine with
the innovations of Functional Medicine and Nutrition to
treat endocrine disorders, gynecological concerns and
reproduction, autoimmune diseases, digestive disorders,
metabolic syndrome & neurological conditions. Katherine has
also witnessed the profound effects acupuncture has as an
adjunctive therapy when treating patients battling with
cancer during her work at the Sari Asher Center for
integrative cancer care. Katherine truly values her work
with these patients, assisting them emotionally,
spiritually, mentally, and physically throughout their
journey & back into health.
Prior to becoming an Acupuncturist, Katherine received a
Bachelors of Art in Religious Studies from New College of
Florida, with a special focus in the spiritual traditions of
India, China, and Tibet. In addition to practicing Chinese
Medicine, Katherine is also a student and teacher of Yoga
and meditation, practicing and teaching within the tradition
of Ashtanga Yoga. |

Sarah Smith,
A.P.
Acupuncture Physician – Doctor of Oriental
Medicine
Sarah Smith is a Florida licensed
acupuncturist and is nationally board certified in Oriental
Medicine. She earned a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine
and a Bachelor in Health Sciences from Atlantic Institute of
Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where she received
the Outstanding Student award for academic achievement.
Aside from treating common concerns such as pain, insomnia,
anxiety, depression and fatigue with acupuncture, Sarah’s specialty is in Endocrine Disorders,
Fibromyalgia, Women’s Health and Infertility. We celebrate the
success of our patients when they conceive a baby after
being under Sarah’s care! Sarah also has a Bachelor’s degree
in physics from the University of Manchester in the UK.
Prior to joining Gardens Acupuncture & Wellness Center,
Sarah trained with Dr. Fu, Di, MD (China), PhD, AP, a
respected and well-known master of herbal medicine and
acupuncture in Tamarac, FL. A self-confessed wimp when it
comes to pain, Sarah is very interested in gentle needle
insertion and stimulation techniques, particularly Japanese
acupuncture styles. |

Tamari
Acupuncture Physician – Doctor of Oriental
Medicine

Raphael Tamari earned his Master’s of
Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific
College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California, where
he graduated with honors. Much of his training was acquired
by apprenticing leading physicians from China where he
studied sports medicine. |

Meredith
McGaughey
B.S.Nutr, LMT, RYT - Massage Therapist
Meredith is a licensed Massage
Therapist in the state of Florida and also maintains a
National Certification with the Board of Therapeutic Massage
and Bodywork. She holds Bachelor’s Degree from the
University of Florida specializing in Nutritional Sciences
and is also a Registered Yoga Teacher. Meredith is working
towards her Doctor’s degree in Physical Therapy. Unlike the
traditional massage therapist who just gives you a “nice
massage” Meredith locates the cause of your pain and creates
a treatment plan to heal the issue. Extremely experienced
in the dynamics of the body and educated far beyond a
regular massage therapist, Meredith has created a growing
list of clientele at Gardens Wellness and has helped so many
heal from chronic pain and injury. If you are in pain and
looking for a solution, this is your place to start. |

Stromer
Colon Hydrotherapist
In addition to being a Licensed
Massage Therapist, Debbie Stromer is a dedicated Licensed
Colon Hydro-therapist who has practiced at Hippocrates
Health Institute helping individuals from all over the world
heal themselves using natural methods utilizing the Ann
Wigmore living foods/wheatgrass juice program. Colon
Hydrotherapy requires an experienced technician to perform
the service. The technician controls water flow, temperature
and pressure which has a direct result in how comfortable
the patient feels. Debbie has a strong following
for her gentle techniques and knowledge of the machinery to
ensure that the patient is as comfortable as possible.
Debbie also utilizes H-Wave technology, a system that
relaxes the abdomen to reduce any symptoms of cramping or
discomfort. As far as our research shows, Gardens
Acupuncture is the only facility to use H-Wave technology in
the colon hydrotherapy field. |

Diane Pigeon
colon Hydrotherapist
Diane Pigeon is a Licensed Colon Hydrotherapist and Massage
Therapist, who has been in practice for over 15 years. She
began her practice in Orlando working with multiple doctors,
chiropractors and other practitioners in the wellness
industry, where she continued to work for 12 years. During
her career in Orlando, She also had the privilege of working
along side the Orlando Magic Basketball team. In 2004 she
relocated to Palm Beach Gardens where she began her work as
a Colon Hydrotherapist at The Lane Spa. She spent 3 years
practicing at the Lane Spa building a large clientele, and
establishing herself as a respected practitioner in the
area. Recently she relocated to the Gardens Acupuncture and
Wellness Center, in order to merge with a facility focused
on health and wellness. Her therapy modalities include:
Swedish massage, Firm Therapeutic Massage, Manual Lymphatic
Drainage, and Raindrop Therapy Massage (using Aromatherapy
Oils). Her current focus remains to be performing colon
hydrotherapy. |
